Wallpaper Shopping Guide.

Everyone lately has been going gaga for wallpaper. I'm totally on that bandwagon. No matter what your style is, Canadian House and Home has you covered with their wallpaper guide. It walks you through the different styles of wallpaper and gives you pricing and shopping information. Check it out if you get a chance. Oh, and if you have decided to take the plunge and hang wallpaper they have a guide for installing it too!

Spotlight: ETSY Seller ginette1223

Have I told you how obsessed I am over Etsy? Sometimes I have to control myself because I could literally be on that site for hours on end.

Now that I have my basic grey slipcover, it's so much fun searching for pillows. I love having the option of creating a whole new look with just a few pillows.

The reason I love this seller, is that she takes all of that guess work out of mixing and matching pillows. You don't want your pillows looking too matchy matchy. She actually sells sets of 9 pillow covers. Seriously, 9 pillow covers for $150...that comes out to $16 a pillow cover. How can you go wrong?

Here is a sampling of ginette1223's offerings!

My couch before and after using Slipcovershop.com

So, I thought I would share a great experience I had with you. A while ago I decided that I wanted a new couch. I did a lot of shopping and had a small budget. I thought I wanted a sectional and actually bought one and brought it home, but it was so uncomfortable. I kept on going back to my couch. The couch I had was the most comfortable couch I have ever sat in. It is a down filled couch and is constructed really well. I just couldn't live with the idea of giving it up to someone on craigslist.

I called a local company about making a custom slipcover, and they wanted around $900. $900 for a custom slipcover?? I couldn't believe it. I knew I could do better. That's when I turned to the internet. I searched a few websites and finally decided on Slipcovershop.com. I couldn't be happier about my experience with this company. When I ordered the fabric swatches, they were shipped super fast and they made the whole process of measuring and ordering fool proof. I opted for the upgraded individual cushion covers with zippers. I really wanted the option of taking them off and washing them with ease.

I think it was 5 days later and I had my custom slip cover..5 days!! I love my new slipcover and I will keep going back to slipcovershop.com My slipcover ended up costing $450.00 and it was worth every penny!

My outerwear picks for fall/winter 2010.

Living in Michigan outerwear is so important. In our frigged weather, it's hard to stay warm AND stylish. Here are my picks for sure fire way of accomplishing both! Oh, did I mention, you will have enough money left over for some kickin winter boots?

Adidas by Stella McCartney Winter Sports ski coat $300.00
This is a versatile coat that will get you from work to the slopes with ease.

Old Navy wool blend double breasted trench style coat $100
A wool-blend coat with all the details of a classic trench--double-breasted buttons, large flap pockets and belted waist--to see you through winter.

Fall for You

Fall for You by noknok featuring a cap hat

Draped pocket coat $550
Drop-shoulder coat with draped front pockets and 3/4 sleeves. It proves you don't have to give up your femininity to stay warm. Could you imagine this with elbow length leather gloves? I die.

Cotton camel coat $355
Part military, part feminine, every part perfect.

Burberry Long-length down-filled nylon jacket 795.00
Now you may be thinking, $795.00?!! What the %&!^ are you thinking?!! In all honesty, if you are going to go for a down filled coat, make sure it is of good quality. You want it to last for years to come. I think a nice quality down coat (if you live in colder climates) is one of the best investments you can make. I am going on year four of my down coat, so it has paid for itself time and time again.
